    Season

Sardinia gives you the water everyone associates with the Mediterranean's best coastline, without the crowds that come with Mallorca or the Amalfi Coast. Granite cliffs, a coast that runs for hundreds of kilometres, and an interior almost nobody visits. Three and a half hours from Stockholm. We handle flights, hotels, venues and programme.

Why Sardinia works for conferences

Sardinia is the coastal destination that still feels like a find internally – the water is as good as anywhere in the Mediterranean, and far fewer Swedish groups have been. North and south are genuinely different trips: the Costa Smeralda for polish and capacity, Cagliari for value and a real city underneath the beach. The season is shorter than mainland Italy's, so the dates matter more than usual.

Stay & venues

Hotels and meeting venues in Sardinia

Three areas cover Sardinia for a group. The Costa Smeralda in the northeast has the resort-scale hotels and conference capacity for larger groups, with the polish and price tag to match. Alghero in the northwest is the quieter alternative – a genuine town with a Catalan history, better value, and a coastline just as good without the Smeralda premium. Cagliari in the south is the practical choice – a real working city with the airport in the centre, suited to a group that wants the coast without paying for the brand. We confirm the specific property once we know which area fits your group.

Activities

Activities and dinners in Sardinia

A boat along the Costa Smeralda or out to the Maddalena archipelago is the obvious anchor – granite islands, water that genuinely is the colour the photographs suggest, and enough swim stops to fill a day. Inland, the nuraghi are Bronze Age stone towers found nowhere else on earth, and a visit to one gives the trip a history angle most guests never expected from a beach destination. Dinners run on seafood and a local wine most people have never tried, which is usually the point.

FAQ

FAQ

What's included in a Way trip?

We handle the whole thing: flights, accommodation, meeting venue, activities, transfers and project management, with on-site support during the trip.

What does a conference trip to Sardinia cost?

Prices start at around SEK 12,000 per person and depend on group size, accommodation, season and how much programme you want. The Costa Smeralda runs above this; Cagliari and the south usually land closer to the starting price.

How long is the flight to Sardinia?

About 3.5 hours, direct from Stockholm during the summer season and via a connection outside it.

How far is it from the airport?

Cagliari airport sits close to the city centre, about 10 minutes by transfer. Olbia is the airport for the Costa Smeralda, with most resorts 20–40 minutes away.

When is the best time for a conference in Sardinia?

May to October. The season is shorter than mainland Italy's since the coast is the whole point – June and September give warm water without the August crowds.
